🔍 What We Collect
We collect very minimal data to understand how the site is used and improve it:
- Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics to count visitors and see which tools are popular. This collects anonymous data — pages visited, country, browser type, device type. No personal information. No names, emails or file contents.
- Google Search Console: We use this to understand how people find ToolNinja on Google. Shows us search queries in aggregate — not linked to individuals.
That is it. Nothing else.
📁 Your Files — Always Private
When you use tools like Image Compressor, PDF Merger, Resume Builder or any other tool on ToolNinja:
- Your files are processed entirely inside your browser using JavaScript
- No file is uploaded to our servers — we do not have file storage
- Your documents, photos, invoices and PDFs never leave your device
- When you close the browser tab, everything is gone — we store nothing
💾 Local Storage
Some tools use your browser's localStorage to improve your experience:
- Recently Used Tools: The homepage shows your last 3 used tools. This is stored only on your device, never sent to us.
- Language preference: If you select a language, it is saved locally on your device.
You can clear this any time by clearing your browser's site data or using Incognito/Private mode.
🍪 Cookies
We do not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies. Google Analytics uses cookies to distinguish unique visitors — these are anonymous and contain no personal information. You can opt out of Google Analytics using browser extensions like uBlock Origin.
💳 Donations
If you choose to donate via UPI, the payment is processed entirely through your UPI app (PhonePe, Google Pay, Paytm etc.). We do not collect or store any payment information. We only see what your UPI app shows us — the transaction amount and your UPI handle if you choose to add a note.
🔗 Third Party Services
ToolNinja uses the following third-party services:
- Google Analytics — anonymous usage statistics. Google Privacy Policy →
- Netlify — website hosting. They see standard server logs (IP address, page requested, timestamp). Netlify Privacy Policy →
- Google Fonts — fonts loaded from Google servers. Google may log font requests. Google Privacy Policy →
- pdf-lib, QRCode.js, jsPDF — JavaScript libraries loaded from CDN (cdnjs.cloudflare.com). No personal data is sent to these services.
👶 Children
ToolNinja is a general utility website suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect any data from children under 13. Since we collect almost no personal data from anyone, this is not a significant concern.
