Who should use a simple invoice instead of GST invoice?
If you are not registered under GST, you cannot charge GST, so you give a simple (non-GST) bill like this one. Whether you must register depends on your turnover, your state and what you sell — check the GST portal or ask a tax professional. If you are registered, use the GST invoice tool.
Is a simple invoice legally valid?
Yes. A simple invoice is legally valid for non-GST businesses. It should include your name, buyer name, date, description of goods/services, and amount. This tool generates all required fields.
How do I make a quotation instead of an invoice?
Choose Quotation (or Estimate) under Document. The title, number and “Bill To” change, and you can add a “valid until” date, an optional GST / tax % and your terms in the notes. Download it as a PDF and send it to your client.
Can I add my logo to the invoice?
Logo upload is not supported in this version. For logo-based invoices, use the GST Invoice tool which supports business branding, or simply write your business name clearly.
