❓ Frequently Asked Questions
Can I upload only the front side?â€ē
Yes. The back is optional. If the form only asks for "voter ID photo" without specifying both sides, front-only is usually fine.
Is my voter ID data sent to your server?â€ē
No. All processing runs in your browser. Your voter ID image never leaves your device. Close the tab and it's gone from memory.
What if my old voter ID has my old address?â€ē
The tool doesn't modify content. If your card is outdated, update it at the nearest BLO office or via the Voters' Service Portal before creating a PDF.
Is Voter ID accepted for Passport application?â€ē
Yes. Per the Passport Seva website, EPIC is listed as a valid proof of identity and address for passport applications. Many applicants upload it specifically because it shows both ID and address on one document.
What about digital voter ID (e-EPIC)?â€ē
If you have the e-EPIC PDF directly from the ECI portal, you don't need this tool — just upload that PDF. This tool is for cases where you only have photos of your physical card.
