Before you pay

A token money receipt records the advance and the terms you both agreed — it does not transfer the property. For land or a house, check the documents and the records before paying, and ask a lawyer about the sale agreement and registration. Write only the terms you have actually agreed.

What is a bayana receipt?

A receipt for token money (advance) paid to a seller to fix a deal, with the total price, the balance and the date by which the deal must be completed.

What happens if the deal does not go through?

Whatever the two of you agree and write in the terms. The ready-made lines are only a start — change them.

Is it the sale deed?

No. It only records the advance. Land or a house is transferred by a sale deed, usually registered.

Is my data uploaded?
