How it is worked out

Planets: calculated on your device with Astronomy Engine (MIT licence). We checked the results against Swiss Ephemeris for seven birth dates from 1947 to 2026: planets within 15 arc-seconds, Lagna within 1 arc-second.
Ayanamsa: Lahiri (Chitrapaksha) — the zero point the Indian Calendar Reform Committee (1955) set for the national calendar: 23° 15′ 00″ from the equinox at 0h UT on 21 March 1956 (S. K. Chatterjee, IAU Symposium), carried to the birth moment by precession.
Conventions (Jyotish): Rahu is the mean lunar node and Ketu the point opposite; houses are whole signs counted from the Lagna (as in the North and South Indian charts); navamsa = ninths of each sign; Vimshottari dasha from the Moon's nakshatra, with a year of 365.25 days. Some panchangs use the true node or a 360-day year, so degrees or dasha dates can differ a little.
Birth time: the Lagna moves about one sign every two hours, so a wrong birth time changes the Lagna and houses; the Moon's nakshatra changes about once a day. Births outside India: choose that country's time zone. Before 1947 some places in India kept a different local time — check what the record used.
No predictions: this page calculates positions. Readings, matching and remedies belong to the Jyotish tradition — ask an astrologer you trust.

How do I make my kundli online for free?

Type the date, time and place of birth. The Lagna chart, Navamsa chart, planet table and Vimshottari dasha appear at once; download them as a 2-page PDF or a JPG. Nothing is uploaded.

Can I get the kundli in Hindi?

Yes — choose हिन्दी under Language. The charts, planet names, signs, nakshatras and dasha table switch to Hindi, and the PDF is saved with Hindi letters.

Which ayanamsa does it use?

Lahiri (Chitrapaksha), the zero point set by the Indian Calendar Reform Committee in 1955 — the one most Indian panchangs use.

Why is my Lagna different on another website?

Usually the birth time, place or time zone typed differs; the Lagna changes about every two hours. Small differences in degrees can also come from another ayanamsa or from the true node used for Rahu.

Does it tell my future or match kundlis?

This page only calculates the chart. Interpretation belongs to the Jyotish tradition — ask an astrologer you trust.
