Can this open a PDF if I don't know the password?
No. You need the password that opens the file. The tool removes a password you already have, so you don't have to type it every time or so a portal accepts the file. It does not guess or break passwords.
What is the password of an e-Aadhaar PDF?
UIDAI says it is the first 4 letters of your name in CAPITALS followed by your year of birth, e.g. SURESH KUMAR born 1990 → SURE1990 (UIDAI FAQ). Use the e-Aadhaar helper above to build it.
Where do I find the password of a bank or card statement?
Each bank sets its own format, usually built from your name, date of birth, customer ID or card number. The email that brought the statement normally states the format.
Is my file uploaded?
No. Unlocking happens inside your browser. The PDF and its password never leave your device, and the tool works offline once the page has loaded.
Does unlocking change the content?
No. Text, images and layout stay exactly the same. Only the password and restrictions are removed.
