How a complaint usually goes
- Write to them first — the employer, bank, insurer, company or office — and keep proof that you sent it.
- Give them the time they have to reply. Each letter page shows the limit that applies, from the official rules.
- No answer, or a bad one? Go to the next level the page names: the Labour Department, the RBI or Insurance Ombudsman, EPFO’s grievance portal, the consumer commission, or the RTI appeal.
- Court is the last step. For large amounts or a court case, see a lawyer; your district legal services authority gives free legal aid if you qualify. These pages are drafts to help you, not legal advice.
