After you get the NOC

The hypothecation is removed from the RC by the registering authority (RTO), usually through Parivahan's online service for hypothecation termination, with the bank's NOC and the form the RTO asks for — the RTO or the Parivahan page lists the documents and the fee. Then update the insurance policy so it no longer names the bank. Many banks issue the NOC on their own, or through net banking — ask the branch first.
