Tips
- Leave GST on “No GST” if you are not registered, or if your rates already include tax. If you charge GST, type each item’s rate in the GST % box; the challan shows the tax by rate.
- A delivery challan goes with the goods. Put the value of each item in the rate column (or the unit price); the receiver signs on delivery. When you bill, make the invoice with the GST Invoice.

What is a delivery challan?
A document that travels with goods — what is sent, how many and their value — signed by the receiver on delivery. It is not a bill.
When is a challan used instead of an invoice?
For example for goods sent on approval, for job work, between your own branches, or when the bill comes later. Your accountant can tell you what your business needs.
Can I show the vehicle number?
Yes — the terms box starts with lines for what the goods are sent for, the vehicle number and the transporter; edit them freely.
Is my data uploaded?
