Tips

  • Leave GST on “No GST” if you are not registered, or if your rates already include tax. If you charge GST, type each item’s rate in the GST % box; the estimate shows the tax by rate.
  • An estimate (BOQ — bill of quantities) lists each item of work with its quantity, unit and rate. The quantities and rates are yours: measure them, or ask your engineer or contractor. Use the unit column for sq ft, cu ft, bags, nos, running ft and so on.

What is a BOQ / estimate?
A bill of quantities lists each item of work — for example brickwork, plaster, tiles — with its quantity, unit, rate and amount, and the total.
Does it calculate quantities or rates?
No — it adds up what you type. Quantities and rates come from your measurement, engineer or contractor; they differ by place and time.
Can I add GST?
Yes — choose CGST + SGST, IGST or one GST line and type each item’s rate, or leave it on "No GST".
Is my data uploaded?
No. Everything is made inside your browser; nothing is sent or saved.
