Special or general?

A special power of attorney lets the attorney do only the things listed; a general one also covers everything connected with them. Tick only what is needed — you can cancel it in writing. Banks often have their own mandate or power-of-attorney form; ask the branch.

Buying or selling land or a house through an attorney usually needs a registered power of attorney — this page leaves that out on purpose. Ask the sub-registrar's office or a lawyer.
