Tips
- Leave GST on “No GST” if you are not registered, or if your rates already include tax. If you charge GST, type each item’s rate in the GST % box; the proforma invoice shows the tax by rate.
- A proforma invoice tells the buyer what they will pay — often for an advance, a bank loan or an import. It is not a tax invoice: after the sale, make the bill with the GST Invoice or the Simple Invoice.

What is a proforma invoice?
A first bill sent before the sale or delivery — what the buyer will pay, often to get an advance, a loan or a purchase order approved. It is not a tax invoice.
Can I add GST to a proforma invoice?
Yes. Choose CGST + SGST, IGST or one GST line and type each item’s GST rate; the tax is shown by rate. Leave it on "No GST" if you are not registered or your rates include tax.
Proforma invoice or quotation?
A quotation offers a price; a proforma invoice is sent once the buyer intends to buy, as the expected bill. After the sale, issue the actual invoice.
Is my data uploaded?
